Total booked losses due to Datek's inability to execute my trades for today, $1295. Of course I had to lose the trading day as well -- That is another matter. Trades at $9.99? Not so. About 10:45 they were up and running. I exited all trades by 3:30. On July 7, I entered a sell 2000 of CNS around 3:55 -- "server not available". The stock gapped down the next morning and I am a stuckholder with a paper loss of $14,000 on 2000 shares. I have been with Datek for over 3 years. When they are humming, they are great-- but the losses when they miss far outweigh any benefits. I am finally throwing the towel in and exiting. Free trades do not make up the losses I have sustained. It is hard enough to swim in this choppy market-- but to fight the riptide of Datek's mistakes as well, is just too overwhelming for me.
