Very nice day for the biotechs amid a weak overall market. AMGN was a big driver, and I believe the Genentech roadshow was due around now as well. Very interesting that IMNX actually ended up 3 for the day despite news of the competition from AMGN. Strong moves by some of the stocks I own (AVIR, VPHM, MLNM, SUPG, IMCL) as well as some of the stocks I wish I owned (like AFFX, MEDI and TKTX). Strength wasn't uniform by any means (MOGN down after recent gains on no news, VGIN very weak), but all-in-all an encouraging day after a good month. Peter
