VIX MOVING SIDEWAYS?

With several economic reports due out this week and next, I'm sitting
back wondering, what will spook the markets this time? All of the
sudden, you are starting to hear about the Argentina markets going
down the toilet and they are in the process of electing a new
President! Add to that, Columbia has been having a tough time over
the past two years according to my Columbian amigos here in
Florida with families still in that country. That type of economic
strife sometimes leads to extremist groups gaining political control.

Is it the old story of the "domino effect?" Well, you may not know
this, but, dominos is a popular game in the latin countries. Start
knocking off neighboring countries like Brazil (they have hired an
American economist),the single largest country in South America, and
that represents (from I have read) 20 percent of State of Florida's
exports. As one of largest states, a slow down in the major State
revenue source could very well trickle over into just about
everything else like hotels, food services, airlines, since the State
derives income from taxing services and property taxes. We don't have
a State income tax. In fact, it is outlawed in the Florida
Constitution.

When we had the baseball strike a few years ago, we lost some major
State revenue because of it! That my friends, adds to inflationary
pressures since we would not have any other choice but to raise
prices to raise taxes to run the State. Our friend Alan Greenspan does
have a home on the island of Palm Beach and I'm sure his buddies would
not think twice about complaining about rising prices. Especially,
when he gets his bill from the marine where he keeps his very
expensive water ride and the Town of Palm Beach raises his property
taxes. :-) Of course, this is all theory at this point! So what, if
Bill Clinton has been in town quite a bit this year. :-)

For those regulars and lurkers out there who are interested and have
not signed up for the free newsletter at coveredcalls.com.
The next issue should be emailed this weekend! You might want to
check out my latest updates on technical chart reading of the BB and
RSI which will appear in THE WINS CORNER column.

Shane tells me the newsletter is now emailed to every single state in
this nation and 20+ different countries around the world! From down
under to the top of the world where a "grandmother in the Greenland
that wants to learn how to either daytrade or CC for extra income." I
told her it would be very difficult to daytrade for six months
straight. Far easier to CC with The WINs Approach! After all, the
days up there are six months long and the nights six months long!:-)

Now, you know I'm joking about the grandmother, right? Yes!
