Most of the time when a large co. misses consensus numbers that have come down, it dosen't augur well for the stock going forward (irrespective of positive guidance). Also if you have an influential analyst bearish on the stock, it dosen't help. On the other hand, a large number of analysts have recently upgraded the stock and don't want to be shown to be wrong - so undoubtedly they will keep pounding the tables.

My take is - IF (and it is a big if) you believe that the future lies in technology then you have to OWN Intel for the long haul. Analyst and managers will play these quarterly games of confusing investors. Over the short term I would expect the stock to move down a few points (esp. since the run-up from the low 50s to mid 60s, as it turns out, was not really justified - but then neither was the sell-off to the low 50s). We are probably not going to see 80 this year, and low 50s seem out of the possibilties also with the positive spin.
