Walter,

With some trepidation, yet in honest admiration of your ability to find the e-mail addresses of key personnel, perhaps you could contact the appropriate product manager at Texas Instruments and attempt to determine the necessity for MicroOS in their DSP for music players.

If they advise that MicroOS is not necessary in all cases, then what does control the DSP when multiple CODECs are being managed in the player?
