C-Cube on the Verge of a Breakout
by Paul A. Alvim
Managing Editor

C-Cube Microsystems (CUBE), a leader in the digital video compression industry, is advancing to a new 52-week high on elevated volume. The stock, which appeared on the 1:35 P.M. CDT ProSearch run of Stocks Breaking Out to New 52-week Highs, is up 3/4 to $35-1/8 on 1.1 million shares, or 147% of its 30-day average volume. CUBE has doubled within a steady uptrend since bottoming in March and is poised for further upside if it can clear stiff resistance at $35. A break above $35 may signal further price appreciation to next key resistance in the $42 area.
