Steve, I think you are referring to an entirely different concept, where fuel cells furnish only the electricity for the auxiliary components. There is a lot of research being done to make this technology available for many adaptations to power needs, including automotive. Some of the breakthroughs needed are cheaper catalysts,ie; cobalt rather than platinum, pure hydrogen delivery to the fuel cells, or better reformer for hydrogen from carbon fuels. What is the potential for carbon nanotubes as a hydrogen carrier? I am not a scientist or engineer so have to depend on others to explain these things to me, as they develop. Methonex may play an important role in fuel cell future as the preferable fuel. Also. a source of hydrogen if extracted from methanol for carbon or metallic carriers, What's your thoughts?
