Lucent has all five elements. Cisco is building a portfolio in optics, wireless and voice software.''... ...Nolle, however, also believes that Cisco won't be able to catch up with Lucent for the No. 1 spot in combined voice-data networking. The market for phone equipment worldwide, he says, is much bigger than for computer-networking. Cisco will have to battle Nortel for the No. 2 spot, he says.... mercurycenter.com PS.
