I have a good relationship with a small regional office of nationwide firm.. I do all my stock trading through them, with a
discount, but nothing like the commissions of the online traders.. but
I do get a number of decent to hot ipos because I am basically the only one playing the game.. With the the IPOs, I figure, I come out ahead of the commission game, and based on what I read about online trading, I get better executions, faster confirms.. Actually, my broker will load the order and we will watch the ticks until I tell him to push the button. 500 shares with a 1/2 point slippage is 250.
which I read sometimes happens with these on line traders.. eats up those 19.95 rates, the slippage I mean..
