Tony,

Great insight. There are a few things you may want to consider prior to working yourself into a froth over your self-confidence in thinking that RNWK gets bought out:

1. Just because "YHOO has BCST", that does not mean squat for RNWK. The only thing that does is provide a benchmark for acquisition value, just like the XCIT purchase by ATHM. BCST and RNWK are very different parts.

2. Glaser has repeated time and time again that he has no plans to accept an acquisition bid.

3. Based on the WebTV deal, it is apparent that the working relationship between MSFT and RNWK is not entirely antagonistic. Expedia radio is content, not software. Should AOL want to compete with Expedia, they would have to generate content. I am sure it would be cheaper to license the software through RNWK than to acquire them for this purpose.

4. Things are changing day by day. RNWK may not be acquired and explode upwards. Then again, maybe AOL does buy them next month for $3B. Any guessing is pure folly at this point with what we all know. The only certain thing is that Goldman Sachs has these guys under their wing, which is usually good. They would have never done a secondary at 50% of their highs from a month earlier unless Goldman was assuring them of future stock appreciation. Bet the farm on that.

Plausible? Depends if you liked the Conspiracy Theory with Mel Gibson. I guess that is what happens when you have to proclaim to the world about the rating of your education on your profile. People who have "Top 10" MBA's don't have to gloat about it. We know it is no big deal, and nobody cares. <wink>
