Dave, On reflection, you are probably right about the MicroOS being stored in the flash memory, rather than embedded in the DSP. This would make more sense for mass production and would reduce the cost of the DSP. Perhaps another avenue for research would be to contact SanDisk and ask them if MicoOS is necessary to the use of their flash memory chips when running multiple CODECs. My head hurts. I need to re-read Kerry's favorite quote. Jim
