Multiactive Software Hits the 'Software 500'

Revenue Performance Establishes Multiactive as One of the World's Top 500
Software Companies

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, July 13 /CNW/ -- Multiactive Software,
Inc. (CDN: MSWI) announced that it has made Software Magazine's 17th annual
"Software 500" list, published June 15, 1999. This ranking of the world's
foremost software providers is based on total worldwide software revenue.
According to the publication, the list represents, "the best, brightest and
most successful in the software industry."

This is Multiactive's first appearance on Software Magazine's annual list
of who's who among worldwide software vendors with US$11.5 million in global
revenues for the fiscal year ended November 30, 1998.

"This is just the beginning for us -- Multiactive is climbing quickly,"
says Brent Halverson, President, Multiactive Software. "Our year-to-date
revenues have already increased by 55.7 percent over last year's pace; our
just released Entice! e-business solution is receiving acclaim from the
industry press; ecBuilder and Maximizer are recognized as the best in their
respective industries; and there is significant market opportunity for our
entire product line."

Halverson continues, "With the global economy shifting gears to high
technology and software development, the competition to make it on this list
will increase. Multiactive will, however, always be on the list, and we will
always be moving up the ranks."

Multiactive Software reported gross revenues of $6.34 million for the
quarter, which represents a 51 percent increase over the corresponding period
of 1998 and a 16 percent increase over the first quarter of 1999. Year-to-date
revenues amounted to $11.74 million, which represents an increase of
55.7 percent over the $7.54 million recorded for the six months ended May 31,
1998.
