To all: I had a special treat tonight. Just prior to the game I received a telephone call inviting me to come down to SPLN headquaters to watch their production of tonights "broadcast." I was down there with several members of our Q, together with many SPLN employees of all levels. I must say there was a great deal of excitement over the event and a very positive, pleased and forward looking response. Unfortunatly, the event was pure entertainment (which it was!) and no talk of business (Could I really expect them to ask me into the board room and say "OK just because your here, this is what we plan on doing?"). But my opinion based on what I observed, is that this is a very postive begining of a very, very healthy relationship; it was definetly NOT two ships passing in the night.
As to the people that had tech problems, there was an army of techs at this place doing, fixing?, talking and "taking care of biddnes". I do know that you need a pretty fast pentium to use the shockwave, I also overheard discussions that the newer Explorer and New NEtscape where the best browsers.
So, while I want the F*n stock to go up just as much as the next guy, based on what I saw and from what I can piece together, this company has a product called "content", it can be sold to many different media clients, on multiple levels, AND COMPANIES WANT TO BUY IT. Companies buy it, they get more viewers, sell more advertising, everyone makes money. They had this really cool program running on a computer that tracked EVERY single hit their site was getting in terms of thousands per second. It was very busy!!!
Last thing, our pitches can be delivered live and instant. In fact I was told that when delivered live, it will actually beat the live pitch on the TV because the TV is delayed by satalite feed. Our graphics where delayed to match up with SPortstickers delayd information. They can't deliver their information as quickly as we can. Well, Well, what do you think of that? In terms of a company, we are going places and I don't think we have that much further to go. We are at the marketing stage (the last stage). I'm hanging, seeing the big picture. On the otherhand, I wouldn't mind seeing some nice buying in the A.M.
