All I am saying is take a look at the business fundamentals here. Comparing CHINA with AOL, even if AOL is a shareholder is comparing appels and oranges IMO. AOL's revenue model has always been fundamentally different from a portal. More importantly AOL was a first mover, while CHINA is merely a first mover on the Nasdaq.

Going from #17 to #1, i.e. 100K daily page views to 2.2 million daily page views (as with #1 Sina.net), will require one heck of an effort from management. Have you ever questioned how capable management is? CHINA and its affiliated companies have been operational for over 3 years. They were around long before Yahoo China, Sohu.com and Sina.net. Does it not strike you that they have not really captured on THAT first mover advantage. Why do you think #1 - #16 would have waited with their IPOs. Is it because #17 has astute management or #1 - #16 have more of a long term vision.

True, they have $ 84 million in IPO proceeds to play with, but everyone knows it takes more than capital resources to build a fundamentally strong business.

I do not disagree on the great upside potential of China internet play. Yet, it never hurts to take a closer look at underlying operations, beyond the fact that someone has a cool name and happens to operate in the right space.

Let's talk in 6 months.
