John,

I had Lasik surgery performed February 1998 in Kansas City. I was nearsighted 20/450 in both eyes. My vision, about a week after surgery, was measured at 20/15... better than perfect!

The first month after Lasik, I was sensitive to light and bright lights at night were a bit fuzzy... a minor distraction.

Today, there are no apparent after effects... no problem with bright lights or night vision. My vision is 20/20.

The actual procedure was painless and took about 5 minutes for each eye.

I was able to work the next day, but needed to be careful with my eyes for about a week (wearing a protective mask at night and using eye drops during the day).

Jill Munden, SI Webmistress, had Lasik surgery about two months ago in Seattle and is very pleased.
