If you read the past three or four annual reports (I have - and yes I have held this stock for that time) you will note that all of these questions have been answered. All of the expenditure that goes into Russia is insured. It is a no loss for the company deal. Sure it may be no profit as well but even then considering their other silver properties PAA can do quite well even without Russia. If it does work then it's a bonus (and a good one at that). PAA does have a very astute and conservative board of directors and they have been very careful to make sure that all the bases have been covered in the Russian deal. They also have spelled it out in detail in their various reports. If you are interested look them up.
