Small blurb in the WSJ yesterday announced a filing for an IPO by Alteon Web Systems. Plans to sell $51 million in stock, but didn't indicate share price, or number of shares in the offering. Stated it had a net loss of $8.6 mill in the 1st qtr on rev of 18.4 mill. Alteon was listed as a major competitor to F5 in the SEC filling in May for their IPO, along with Arrowpoint Communications, HydraWeb Technology, RadWare and Resonate. We need to watch this closely...
