Gallery Resources will Commence Drilling next Week

Gallery Resources Limited (GYR:ASE) of Vancouver, B.C. announces that the 1999 drilling program on its Okak Bay property in northern Labrador will commence next week. Drill crews and fuels are being mobilized to the Okak Bay project site where work crews have been upgrading the base camp facility during the past two weeks.

The 1999 drill program will test a TEM anomaly outlined during an earlier geophysics survey. (Ref. press release June 22, 1999). The Company plans to drill a series of holes along the 600 meter strike length of the anomaly. Gallery also advises that it anticipates drilling other targets identified on the property. These targets include both a shallow (100 meters) off-hole conductor identified last fall during a borehole survey conducted by Crone Geophysics on hole OK-M3 and also a strong VLF-EM bedrock conductor identified during the recent geophysics survey completed earlier this spring. This VLF-EM conductor is located 1 km north and is also interpreted at a shallow depth less than 50 meters below surface.

The Crone borehole surveys of OK-M2 and OK-M3 drilled from the same setup also identified a deeper off-hole conductor at an estimated depth of approximately 500 meters and located 100 meters southeast of the existing drill holes. This off-hole conductor is located outside the area of the TEM anomaly.

The Company notes that there are 4 distinct drill targets which are all situated within the large 1.6 km diameter magnetic anomaly. Both Mr. Bruce Costerd, President & CEO and Mr. French, project manager, are confident that the identification of the 4 separate targets and the early startup of this years drill program has enhanced the potential for discovery of significant concentrations of sulphide mineralization.
