Investors and Shareholders Seeking News
This message does not come from Wrapsters Inc., however, it is a statement regarding the company and its operations, policies and philosophies.
Everyone would love to hear news on the company - one way or the other. However, until key business decisions and negotiations are finalized - there simply is nothing to report. Investors and shareholders (and IR firms) crave news - it keeps excitement and interest going in a company. However investors do need to be careful about companies that release news for the sake of releasing news simply to satisfy investors. It is not to say that investors don't deserve news - they do, but they don't need bogus or non-substantive news either. OTC Stocks are notorious for being "pump and dump" operations - Wrapsters is committed to not being cast in this light.
Lately, it has been easy for Internet companies to release news because of the ease of entry and low cost. Most readers, if they had a public Internet company, could probably think of enough releases to put on an Internet stock that could rival Reuters (new sites, affiliates, products, etc…). Unfortunately, this ability to consistently release news may be setting a higher standard that companies will not be able to meet. Most companies simply cannot keep up with that pace.
Look at a few companies in the restaurant industry -- 2 well known companies and 1 great stock (Outback Steakhouse (OSSI), Tricon (YUM) (Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, KFC) and Rare Hospitality (RARE)). Outside of 10k/q's, upgrade/downgrades and outside journalistic news (CBSMarketwatch, TheStreet, Reuters), OSSI's last financial release was in April, 1999 (3 none-financial releases in 1999)- and before that months!, YUM - June 1999, then April 1999 and RARE - April 1999 and then ???.
These 3 companies are very successful Nasdaq NMS and NYSE companies that don't keep putting out news - and they probably have a ton of opportunities to do so. Wrapsters is a small development stage company, whose management team is working hard to make it work. Future news will be sporadic for months, but when it does come - it will be substantive. Investors who believe that news must come out every week or so and see rapid progress should reconsider their investment strategy and get out of the OTC BB market.
The company appreciates each and every investor (as do we) and all of us work hard, in whichever way we can, to build a successful long-term company - not just a quick stock play. Shareholders who invest in this company (or most any OTC stock) who are looking for fast results and short-term profits should probably reconsider their strategy. Most OTC BB stocks are venture capital investments with some degree of liquidity-they bare a considerable risk/reward relationship.
Once again, everyone on this side of the fence asks for patience and understanding in regards to news. When it is ready -- it will come.
Thanks again for your interest and concern |
