Andy, Thanks for the response. YOur answer leads me to another question. I hope you don't mind, if you don't want to answer--I'll understand. I think we could better find the exact meaning of the gospels if we had the original Hebrew. If there are inconsistencies in the translations that we have available to us, and we don't have access to the originl Hebrew, doesn't that make literal translation rather dificult? If all you have to go on is a translation that may not be exact, to believe in literal translation of an inexact document could actually lead you away from your intended purpose. Please understand, I am not trying to change your opinion, I am only trying to understand the thought process involved..... mark
