That's not what Otellini said yesterday. He predicted that PIII would not only surpass PII in 3Q, but also become the highest selling CPU (sic) in the world. I think that means PIII sales become > Celeron sales. DUH. I also think that it's not an idle prediction for a couple reasons, just off the top:

1. PIII-450 is priced very nicely, ~ $250.

2. The boxmakers like Dell know things heat up in 3Q, so they're not about to wait until the last minute and buy on the spot market.

3. We're already almost three weeks into 3Q. Visibility's gotta be pretty high now for Intel.
