The difference between telcom and strictly cable has always been one that I never understood. Here again you mention the (uplink) micro node being a telecom item? Does Telecom really need this technology? Is there a reason to change from the Central Office switch? Maybe it's just obvious that since AT&T bought TCI, Cable has become telecom. And that the world does not revolve around RBOC's any more. At what stage though does HLIT need higher end DWDM, by that I mean more light waves, 48 or more?
