First point: You say that you are 34 years old, yet you refer to working with start-up companies for 20 years. What's up with that? Next point: the miracle of the US hockey triumph in 1980 is that a team of real amateurs, mostly college players, beat the world's best professional hockey team. They were 100-1 underdogs. And it was accomplished in the height of the Cold War. OTOH, the US women's soccer team was one of the four favorites to win the World Cup. They were slight underdogs to China in the final. They'll get a little more press and a little endorsement money, but it will fizzle quickly IMO. No "Do you belive in miracles" music at startups for this team, that's for sure!
