The thing is... In retrospect, maybe Scott might have done better not to mention a date, but at the time nobody, not him, not CapBay, not Herzog, nobody had any reason to believe that NASD would not just go right ahead and clear the launch on the authorized date. So, like you say, he learned a good one here and will be an expert next time...THIS time, he is the first CEO to have to deal with this since the rules changed. Easily forgiven.
