I have always been pleased with Schwab but felt the 29.95 per 1000 share trade was a bit steep. Then when they offered the ipo option it made me very happy. I have requested 4 ipos and gotten 3 of them. The 4th, TWE, wasn't given to Schwab in the end but I really didn't care because of the high float. I have four more ipos on order! All I have to do is call and ask for them.

Why don't you call them and see how much is needed in your account to be eligible? They seem to try to pass out to as many clients as they can.

I don't know anything about ETRADE so I can't compare. Schwab is the only online broker I've used for three years now.

Keep me posted!
