Go to their IPO site (http://www.schwab-ipos.com -- I don't want to just paste the info here, for copyright reasons) and check the third "bulleted" item toward the bottom (the one that discuses the offer-to-purchase procedures). In the middle of that section, it talks about Schwab's possible use of "an allocation model" in the case of high-demand IPOs, and that's where the point-deductions are mentioned... Vagabond
