There are literally thousands of links one could you to "analyze" the supply and demand for laptops, from Intel's press releases to Industry consortiums. It depends mainly on how much time and money you want to spend on getting information. I was reading about flat panel shortages last June/July, but didn't think it would have this dramatic effect on Neo.

Regardless, if you're looking for accurate free information, I would start with industry trade groups, such as the United States Display Consortium (www.usdc.org) or Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (www.semi.org). These will give you a basis and provide links for further study. If you want a good pay site, look at Infrastructure (www.infras.com).

When I really want to find detailed info, however, I usually use AltaVista and do advanced searches for specific key words/topics.

Hope this helps.
