R&D Any discussion of why? I'm willing to speculate. Since Rambus has no manufacturing they must have been pouring money to private fabs to create small runs of chips with little modifications as they perfected the interface. Now they are likely analysing chipsets supplied by Intel and the memory vendors. I suspect any next-generation work is mostly on paper and simulators at this point. When R&D go back up it would indicate that they have new designs for RambusII and are trying them out. TP
