Sustainable Utilization of Gold Resources in China
<< Although definition of sustainable development derives, at first, from the western developed countries, it is a common idea that sustainable development road for social and economic development must be followed by every country. The Chinese government put forward its Agenda 21 four years ago, and, currently, the idea is more and more mitigated into policy-making processes of Chinese government at various levels. Generally speaking, attention has been paid earlier to issues of sustainable development in those western countries than developing countries, reflected especially in the area of mineral resources exploitation, including gold resources, in which prospecting emphasis is gradually transforming from their domestic land to those economically poorer but more resources abundant developing countries.
