I kind of agree with you (and Dan Niles' views) even though I have a long position- To hedge aganist a short term sell-off, I bought a ton of 65 puts today at an 1/8th. Today's action in Intel and tech stocks appears to be driven by short covering in some cases, but the fact that all analysts(except Niles) were pounding the table after a fairly significant miss indicates the general fear of a widespread tech sell-off in the investment banking community.
