I was reading the SI newsletter yesterday and took a closer look at AMD. Don't assume Intel will always have the lead, but AMD hasn't really shown any signs of doing anything. Today's announcement won't turn the company around all at once. Lots of formally big names have turned out to be long term dogs. This may continue to be one of them. Short term, might be worth a flier, but in my opinion there's lots of other issues that promise better probable rates of return. CD
