>>>He even fessed up to having to charge consumers a modest charge to use the bills.com site.

I don't know if it was so much to do with fessing up....BUT

I think it had every thing to do with saying that they would offer Partner CheckFrees Pay Anyone Service in addition to Bill Presentment. CheckFree charges about $4 a month for Pay Anyone.

Pay Anyone...Description. If you receive a bill in paper form, CheckFree can still allow you to iniatiate the payment without using, or going back to your paper CheckBook....ie you can do it on the same website you are doing all electronic. Same thing CheckFree is going to do for Yahoo! too. And Yahoo! will charge too I'm sure.

But what Makes BillServ.Com UNIQUE is the ability to consolidate the consolidators CheckFree and TransPoint....worth much more then the 70 Million Market Cap this company currently has pegged on it...Hell the paper signed is worth that...if they make it work, and we'll all see either the end of this Quarter or the First of Next...Stock is gonna Rock IMO. I'd expect thought that CheckFree & CyberCash is first, then NetDelivery...followed by TransPoint Next year. These guys are well on their way to doing what nobody has done yet...I'm excited!

I can see CyberCash's Merchant Shopping System in here too from listening to that call and going over the bills.com site

One stop pay and shop...shop to you drop...and I'm heading out of here for the rest of the week, going North to look at Lake Properties. If I were here I'd shop this stock till I dropped, but I already did that today.

Final thought....HOW MUCH do you think a guy like Gates would give for the opportunity to own the action on presenting CheckFrees Billers Bills...I think much more then 70 Million. If not Gates then some brain dead money center Bank?
