Chris,
I guess maybe I've known Michael a lot longer and better. He is a wonderful father, a devoted husband, and he has snapped at times and admitted it, usually in funny stories. That doesn't negate what he is saying at all.

You brought up extreme cases- concentration camps, racism, parenting (:>). Cases where it is hard to imagine controlling actions. WHere we probably find ourselves saying- yeah that was justified. But we have to be careful not to use that as a convenient excuse.

We all fight with our reactions- trying to do the best we can. I was a stay-at-home mom. And I sure snapped at times, but it doesn't change my view that I had a choice and choose wrong for whatever reasons. ANd had I beat one of my babies black and blue, there is no justification on this earth for it.

I get the feeling you're trying to somehow turn this into Michael's setting himself up as being successful at these things, and he would be the last person to claim that he is, but he does advocate striving toward this goal.
I think-
Michael?
