I'm afraid "Dubya" may be a wimp. From Drudge:

CLINTON MOCKS BUSH'S 'COMPASSIONATE CONSERVATIVE' SLOGAN

President Clinton made fun of George W. Bush on Wednesday in a speech to the Democratic Leadership Council in Baltimore.

"I shouldn't do this because it's not presidential, but I'm going to do it anyway," Clinton said before offering a tongue-in-cheek critique of the Texas governor's signature slogan, "compassionate conservatism."

"It sure has a great ring to it,'' Clinton said, "and near as I can tell, here's what it means."

"I like you. I do," Clinton intoned with an air of mock seriousness.

"And I would like to be for the patient's bill of rights. And I'd like to be for closing the gun show loophole. And I'd like not to squander the surplus and, you know, save Social Security and Medicare for the next generation. I'd like to raise the minimum wage. I'd like to do these things, but I just can't. And I feel terrible about it."

Bush, told of Clinton's comments, said:

"It's amazing that the president of the United States would spend time talking about me, even before I get my party's nomination... I'm so honored."

BTW, this probably marks the first time Bubba ever worried about being "Presidential". JLA
