Why did you drop the next number in the progression which should be around 31%??

Actually, like I said I was off by a year but your numbers are correct.

Last 6 years, 28% 1994-1999
Last 5 years, 22% 1995-1999
Last 4 years, 16% 1996-1999
Last 3 years, 8% 1997-1999
Last 2 years, 31% 1998-1999

Growth rate has slowed in recent past but is turning back up sharply this year.

Much of this growth and slowdown in growth was despite and due to a major slowdown in Asia and what the talking heads have called one of the worst semi downturns ever.

For many many reasons that most people here disagree with or don't believe (so I'm not going to bother listing them), I think Intel's future is brighter than ever and long term I consider this one of the surest bets in the market.
