DSP Communications Announces Financial Results For Second Quarter 1999 CUPERTINO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 14, 1999--DSP Communications, Inc. (NYSE: DSP) announced that revenues for its second quarter ending June 30, 1999 were $41,874,000, an increase of 37.4% compared to the same period in 1998. Net income for the second quarter of 1999, was $9,549,000 or 22 cents per share, compared to $8,138,000 or 19 cents per share in the second quarter of 1998. Davidi Gilo, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, stated, "We are pleased with the results of another solid quarter. Our revenues in this quarter were driven by strong sales of our CDMA chipsets, as well as by continued strength in the PDC business in Japan. During the quarter we secured additional design wins for our CDMA and TDMA products and we expect the contribution of these products to continue to increase as part of our total revenues." |
