Re:Iomega's OEM strategy is killing them either way. Demand is simply not there if you have to sell your product at a loss. Regular 1.44 Floppy drives aren't sold for a Loss

Zip drives aren't sold for a loss, the OEM's are making out very well
by selling Zip drives. You don't get it do you ? The added income that the OEM's receive are not only propelling Zip as the standard hi-density drive but granting Iomega the residual income from disk sales there after. I would further argue that Zip is selling more than 1 million per month by citing their statement that component
shortages hurt their sales yet in another press release announced the 25th million Zip drive sold putting them on a 1 million per month run rate and further cite the recent inclusion of Zip by the worlds largest computer maker ( Compaq ) as evidence that the demand for Zip is growing.

So tell me with over 23,000,000 shares short and with good quarters coming how high do you feel IOM will go with the short covering that will happen.

If you could for a moment shed your obsessive position, ( your persona is obviously a guise for a short interest and this particular Rocky seems to be more intelligent than those of the past ) even with the understandable effort to talk the stock down ( after all we're talking about a $23,000,000 swing for every $1.00 up or down ) the stock has found support in the 4.5 range, at what point do you consider the risk / reward of the huge short position off balance with a bias to greater risk. Would you not agree that with the bad news the shorts should have been able to force a lower price. Their failure to do so with the resources that they applied was astonishing. Is there anything more that they can do to save their position. BTW at these levels I view this short position as an ally, IMO they will have to cover.
