Symbian is a very curious company. You probably know they are related to Psion. I wonder if Psion is a public in England? Anyway, I was surprised to see recently that ARM Holdings, the one that's making all the really important DSP chips is also a Psion spin off. Psion as you may know has been a pioneer in the PDA market, but like many pioneers, they were ahead of demand.

So, you have a very important company here developing their EPOC OS for the mobile devices. It's called Bill Gate's worst nightmare. Don't know, but certainly it's a key ingredient to our thread. I am currently invested in Phone.com and wondering where they have cross over products and how much these 2 companies are fierce rivals and allies?

I just found this link about EPOC and their work to develop an onboard database with a micro foot print.
