While the RNWK business model relies on licensing fees, AAPL positions QT as a one element of a systems matrix by which to propagate its existence. FinalCut exports to a variety of media protocols -- including RealPlayer. AAPL may or may not be successful in displacing RNWK's lead in streaming media, but their business model does not depend on it.
