Mark: Thanks. Links are a great beginning.

I have followed wireless and wire (fiberoptics) equip suppliers as my main area of investment focus.

The nexus between wireless handhelds and the internet seem to me as an observer to be the most fertile ground for explosive growth. A good place to search for potential major winners.

Therefore the focus of this thread is an excellent idea IMO and look forward to learning as we go.

I was attracted to Symbian as a possible major initiative for Psion which I believe is still a private partnership but a potential major player - especially due to its Java capability and the Sun Micro involvement.

Do not expect that the likes of Ericsson, Nokia and/or Motorola have the vision for leadership in this area in the same way that Qualcomm has. But the Symbian/Psion initiative has the major plus of not rpt not having MSFT involved. Just IMO and paranoia re observing some past MSFT behavior toward its "partners" . So worry re the Q having MSFT as a joint venture partner in Wireless Knowledge.

Nevertheless, convinced the Q is first rate and will be a major player using CDMA in the wireless / internet nexus.

All just IMO.
