The declining rate could have some factor. I think that it would already be priced in at the current low levels.

Of course, the consensus seems to be, at least among the Irish, that the exchange rate problem will dissipate as the Euro turns around. Most countries with currencies tied to the Euro seem to be having problems lately.

A bigger potential problem down th road is the monopoly factor. EIR is the only telecommunications company currently allowed to operate in Ireland. Sprint has tried to get in, so far unsuccessfully. If and when those barriers to entry are taken away, good old competition could wreak havoc on profits.

But no sign of that...in the near future. For now, their monopoly is an asset.
