Agreed. I am hopelessly turned around now, but I thought that this discussion started with the pronouncement by FT and Barrett that nothing said on the internet could affect anything, so why react, and others, e.g., CH, and I, argued that one couldn't really control one's emotional responses, just one's actions, and then Michael chimed in on their side, saying that one could, and should, control one's reactions to stimuli. And we were debating what were the parameters of controlling one's reactions to stimuli. But I think we are pretty much in agreement that one can, at least, resist the temptation to punch someone else in the nose regardless of the provocation.
