If you analyze the TBFC deal, it makes sense in many ways:

maybe create a passage for instant flow of money between my
Etrade a/c and TBFC a/c in real time at no or very nominal fee,
this will attract lot of traders who have an Etrade a/c to
sign up for TBFC and vice vera. i have some
cash just sitting in my checking a/c as i don't have this
flexibility.
