Well, you can buy some leaps without any time premium at all, example , year 2000, $50 call, almost no time premium and won't be expired till Jan of 1999. So, if you buy stock with 50% margin, you pay interest for the 50% you borrow. But on this leap, you pay no interest and time premium , and it is free.
