People who short are not immune from money management, stop losses and careful trading.

Why do gleeful longs always believe that the slightest tick upward in their stock means shorts are screaming in agony?

I went through this drill the other day with someone about BDE. I'm still short, I have a stop in place, but if BDE is bought out for double the current price, it will be a minor ledger entry in my 1999 trading record. So what?

If and when I short GUMM it will be the same. Just another trade, not the flippin' Holy Grail or the Crusades.
