Report: National Semiconductor To Unveil New Chip Get Quote, Company Info: NSM Reuters NEW YORK (July 15) - National Semiconductor Corp. was expected to announce on Thursday that it has put most of the functions of a personal computer on a single chip, the Wall Street Journal reported. It said the Geode SC1400 combines 43 different chips onto one small slice of silicon and is expected to be used in products ranging from set top devices to handheld computers to car navigation devices.
