This along with yesterday's PPI numbers should alleviate any fears of
the 'imaginary inflationary pressures' cooked by the imbeciles on the Street, and oh don't forget the damn economists, are these guys ever right ????- Greenspan are you watching man.

June Consumer Price Index unchanged

NEW YORK, July 15 (Reuters) - The following are comments from economists and market experts after the U.S. Labor Department announced that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was unchanged in June after being unchanged in May.

Core CPI, which excludes food and energy prices, advanced 0.1 percent in June after rising 0.1 percent in May.

Economists surveyed by Reuters had predicted, on average, that CPI would gain 0.1 percent while core CPI would rise 0.2 percent.

JOHN LONSKI, CHIEF ECONOMIST, MOODY'S INVESTORS SERVICE: ''Very good news, especially when you consider how strong consumer spending has been in the United States.''

Lonski was speaking on Reuters Television.
