Shane,

I think you've articulated the basic paradox of INTC's rise yesterday: ostensibly they're going up on a "strong" second half outlook, yet following the release people should be thinking that Intel is likely to make less in the second half than they would have thought before the release. The only explanation, besides a very irrational halo effect (which must partly be a factor here), is that for once investors may be looking several years out, over which time as I think you yourself have suggested, they think Intel should outperform the S&P 500. Anyway, it seems to get harder every day to value stocks rationally. Yet, if you do--like Dan Niles almost exactly predicting INTC's revenue and earnings per share--you recommend selling at ~50 and then the stock hits 68 not too long after.
