Probably helping to prop them up on a weak day. Its really good news since it appears to be a major discovery. It could stimulate interest in lining up deepwater rigs for 2000. Even if contracts are signed now, the dayrates would be paid out of FY2000 budgets since, I believe, most deepwater projects take a minimum of six months planning before the well is spudded. I'am expecting increased contract activity and the deepwater guys could move on that news rather than waiting for actually being at work. JMO.
