I agree completely. I would prefer to have this site stay a positive site with no pissing matches. There are a number of professionals exchanging information in a constructive fashion. I also agree that we should be trying to stick to one site. I know of at least four sites that have been started regarding on-line pharmacies. Frankly, this is the only site that has enlightened conversation. This business is as complex as any and the forces that guide it are not predictable. Those browsing the pages will find it hard to understand.

Both PlanetRx and drugstore will do fine in selling low margin OTC products, but you are 100% correct in stating that an alliance with a land based pharmacy chain is a must for PlanetRx. That chain must also own a PBM, or it is a worthless alliance.

Remember that drugstore.com will not be able to fill all prescriptions that RAD can, it can only fill prescriptions that pass through PCS, RADs PBM. Just because RAD is in a certain third-party network does not mean that drugstore.com will be in that network. Third parties use NABP numbers to identify individual pharmacies and they will continue to block NABPs specific to on-liners.
